The joint research project is a cooperation between the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (www.uni-tuebingen.de) and the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi (www.comu.edu.tr) under the patronage of the Bavarian Acadamy of Sciences (Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften, www.badw.de).

The project and its organization is based at the Institute of Near Eastern Archaeology and Assyriology at the University of Tübingen (Altorientalischen Seminar, www.uni-tuebingen.de/altorientalistik). The Institute of Prehistorical Archaeology (Institut für Ur- und Frühgeschichte und Archäologie des Mittelalters, www.uni-tuebingen.de/ufg) and the Institute of Classical Archaeology (Institut für Klassische Archäologie, www.uni-tuebingen.de/klass-archaeologie) are associated with the project.
